Spectra VRM III™ Q-switched Mode
What is Laser Tattoo Removal ?
As colorful tattoos have grown in popularity, these multi-hued pigments have proven difficult or
impossible to remove with standard lasers. The newest version of the Spectra laser is a powerful,
effective, and award winning laser that can treat all colored inks for unprecedented removal or
lightening of even the most saturated tattoos. Dark ink and red ink tattoos as well as the increasingly
common green and sky blue inks—can now be treated with the correct wavelengths for
full-color spectrum tattoo removal.
How does it work?
The Spectra VRM III uses high intensity pulses of laser light to significantly lighten or completely
remove tattoos without harming the surrounding healthy tissue. Tattoo removal with the
Spectra is a safe, non-invasive procedure that targets all color pigments for unprecedented skin
clearing results.
How many treatments will I need?
While 2-12 treatments is the norm, the size, depth, quality, location, and color of your tattoo are
all influencing factors. Large tattoos will take more time to break down. Simple, amateur tattoos
will be easier to remove than professionally administered ones. Treatments usually take 5-15
minutes and are spaced at 4-8 week intervals. This allows your body time to remove the maximum
amount of pigment prior to your next session. Most patients will see a gradual improvement
that can range from a lightening in appearance to a dramatic removal of all traces of ink.
Is it safe?
Yes. The Spectra VRM III is non-invasive and FDA approved. The Spectra carries none of the
risks associated with other methods of removal and leaves the healthy cells untouched; targeting
only the pigment in the ink.
